This webinar will showcase how AI can help to drive workflow in COVID-19 Era. Radiologists from different sub-specialties will present how COVID-19 has demanded changes in their daily work environment. During this live webinar, the speakers will show how they were able to respond to these challenges and maintain optimal patient care.

Abstract
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has introduced or aggravated many workflow challenges and has forced healthcare providers to rapidly adapt in order to maintain a safe and effective delivery of care.

Five renowned speakers will share their insights on AI driven workflow in COVID-19 Era from different angles and own modality perspective in this webinar moderated by world renowned expert Prof. Mathias Prokop.

The webinar starts with explaining how relocatable CT & MR imaging systems helped overcome infrastructure limitations in a period of increased demand. Also, maintaining image quality while reducing examination times has been crucial. The impact of Deep Learning Reconstruction in combination with other innovative technologies on image quality and workflow will be addressed in consecutive talks for CT and MR. We will also learn the experience from an interventional radiologist how to orchestrate complex team work including the installation and set-up of a 4D CT Angio Suite and interventional procedures during the peak of the crisis. Finally, the webinar will close with practical tips and tricks of how an interdisciplinary ultrasound center under COVID-19 dealt with the situation and in fact improved the overall efficiency of their clinical pathways.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers in a live Q&A session at the end of the session.

Prof. Dr. Mathias Prokop – Moderator
Professor and Chairman of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Anatomy Radboudumc

Background Information:
Prof. Prokop is a Professor of Radiology and Chairman of the Department of Medical Imaging at the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

Prof. Prokop is an expert in body imaging with a special focus on multislice CT and cutting edge techniques. His department is working on technical breakthroughs in the fields of computer-aided diagnosis, artificial intelligence, advanced tomographic imaging, functional image analysis, perfusion imaging with MR and CT, and molecular imaging agents. In the past decade, his main research areas focused on CT including chest CT screening, lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases, COVID-19, with the help of artificial intelligence.

The author of more than 250 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, 50 book chapters, 300 scientific abstracts, and 300 invited lectures, Prof. Prokop has published a textbook on body computed tomography that focuses specifically on multislice technology and has been translated into 5 languages. Prof. Prokop served on several industry advisory boards as well as various scientific committees, most recently the Fleischner Society. He has been a consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on radiation protection in CT. He has received several awards from leading radiological societies including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the German Roentgen Society. He is a Fellow of the Society of Body CT and Magnetic Resonance (SBCTMR), an honorary member of the Hungarian Society of Radiology, and currently chair of the NVvR (Dutch Radiology Society).

Background Information:
Dr. Mark Kon was appointed as Lead Thoracic Consultant Radiologist at Bradford in 2004. He is a core member of the lung cancer multi-disciplinary team and maintains an interest in thoracic interventional procedures. As a former clinical tutor, he continues to teach medical students, junior doctors, Radiographer Advanced Practitioners and Radiology specialist trainees. Dr. Mark Kon is interested in CT technology, contrast and radiation dose reduction. He leads Bradford Teaching Hospital’s liaison with industry as the global reference site for Canon Medical.

Relocatable Systems in Times of Market Shortage – a Radiologist’s Experience
Bradford Teaching Hospitals have successfully used a relocatable system to overcome infrastructure limitations and manage imaging demand in various phases of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Richard Hawkins

Background Information:
Dr. Richard Hawkins’s sub-specialty areas are: cardiac radiology, gastrointestinal radiology and uroradiology. With 15 years consultant experience and Level 2 accreditation in Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI, he is also Clinical Lead at Mid Cheshire Hospital NHS Trust. Dr. Hawkins is a regular examiner on the Aintree FRCR Part 2B course and he has a particular interest in dose reduction in CT.

Dr. Benoît Doche is active in Neuroradiology, collaborates weekly with the multidisciplinary epilepsy meetings and monthly with multidisciplinary meetings in the field of neuro-inflammatory diseases at the University Hospital of Bordeaux.

Daily Practice of AiCE and Compressed SPEEDER in Neuro MRI Applications
The purpose of the presentation is to demonstrate how innovation like AI and CS can improve the daily practice of clinical neuroradiological imaging activity. AI application like the unique AiCE uses Deep Learning Reconstruction in order to improve Image Quality in MRI. Compressed Speeder 2D and 3D are new innovative technologies accelerating the acquisition time in MRI. Acquisition time is reduced while maintaining quality clinical imaging with improved resolution. We will discuss the perspectives of combining AiCE with other Compress Speeder and Multiband Speeder new acceleration techniques.

How to Switch to 4D CT Angio suite During COVID-19
The COVID-19 crisis hit hospitals hard in 2020. Many current projects have been delayed or stopped. Teamwork and coordination is essential for a new installation like an angio room and even more essential in times of crisis. We want to share our experience during the installation of our new 4D CT Angio room during this pandemic.

Dr. Thomas Fischer is Professor of Radiology and head of the interdisciplinary ultrasound center of the Radiology Department of Charité University Medicine in Berlin. Professor Fischer has worked in ultrasound clinical research over many years in close cooperation with other clinical disciplines such as Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Urology, Nephrology. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and is a very popular international speaker at congresses, workshops, and webinars. He is working with Toshiba/Canon ultrasound for more than 15 years and is deeply involved in the clinical evaluations of new developments from Canon Ultrasound Japan.

Interdisciplinary Ultrasound Center under COVID-19 – First Line Target to Increase Efficiency and Speed in Routine and Advanced Exams
In the era of COVID-19 seeking for new ways to reduce exam time and the contact between patients and clinical personnel is paramount. Ultrasound, as a first line imaging modality, plays here a more important role than ever. New ultrasound techniques and applications have widened the scope of the ultrasound exam increasing the overall efficiency of the clinical pathways. In this presentation we will discuss how new developments including the use of AI can make the ultrasound exam more efficient, faster and at the same time increase the quality and diagnostic outcomes.
